We live only 15 minutes outside of town, but it’s far enough to be considered the countryside. My family and I live in a small subdivision that backs up to farmland. We bundled up on this chilly winter day, and took our french bulldog, Bella, on a walk to visit the cows.
The cows seemed to be as interested in her as she was in them. It was really cute to watch! My little guy also had some fun jumping in mud puddles along the way.
As a teenager, I grew up living in a small community, where the closest city with anything to do, like see a movie or go to the mall, was 40 minutes away. So being just a few minutes outside of town seems like nothing to me now, but we’ve had at least two families move from our subdivision, and one more in the process of selling now because they feel we are not close enough to town. To each their own, but for me, I am happy with the location.
Fresh air, a little exercise, and some quality family time made for a fun afternoon!

A walk down a country road is good for the body, heart, and soul.
